Long live the Orphans!
GridIron’s background is in motion graphics and visual FX. We shipped 2 really successful products for After Effects users called Nucleo and Nucleo Pro (1 & 2). NP did better for us as a vendor than we ever expected.
I want to pay credit where credit is due. If you use NP background rendering - Thank Stu. If you use NP speculative preview - Thank Stu. If you use NP precomp proxies - Thank Stu.
Stu Maschwitz and The Orphanage were the first to ever say to us…”I have an idea”. They are masters of their craft - and helped us design technology that wound up being used by a whole lot more people as a result.
Yesterday - the Orphanage closed its doors. It is a sad day across all of VFX. Read here for details.
I join Michael Coleman - product manager for Adobe After Effects in wishing the best to Stu and all Orphans. I am very confident this is not the last you will be hearing from them.

I agree and feel sad to see a great, innovative and creative company split. Good luck to all!
